From 1847248fc1560d10cb49c88b343598c9cb673f38 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Martin Blumenstingl Date: Sat, 26 Nov 2016 01:01:12 +0100 Subject: kernel: mac80211: backport ath9k device tree support patches These patches add support for configuring ath9k based devices via devicetree. This was tested on PCI(e) based devices. This should work for AHB based devices as well (adding more AHB specific properties may still be needed) as soon as the ath79 platform is ready to populate the ath9k wmac via devicetree. This patchset was accepted upstream, more information can be found on the linux-wireless list: https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg155474.html Signed-off-by: Martin Blumenstingl --- ...on-dt-net-add-ath9k-wireless-device-bindi.patch | 67 +++++++++++++++++ ...-helper-to-get-the-string-representation-.patch | 42 +++++++++++ ...-the-device-configuration-from-an-OF-node.patch | 85 ++++++++++++++++++++++ 3 files changed, 194 insertions(+) create mode 100644 package/kernel/mac80211/patches/326-Documentation-dt-net-add-ath9k-wireless-device-bindi.patch create mode 100644 package/kernel/mac80211/patches/327-ath9k-add-a-helper-to-get-the-string-representation-.patch create mode 100644 package/kernel/mac80211/patches/328-ath9k-parse-the-device-configuration-from-an-OF-node.patch (limited to 'package') diff --git a/package/kernel/mac80211/patches/326-Documentation-dt-net-add-ath9k-wireless-device-bindi.patch b/package/kernel/mac80211/patches/326-Documentation-dt-net-add-ath9k-wireless-device-bindi.patch new file mode 100644 index 0000000000..72a459c9e6 --- /dev/null +++ b/package/kernel/mac80211/patches/326-Documentation-dt-net-add-ath9k-wireless-device-bindi.patch @@ -0,0 +1,67 @@ +From b263e0bb9d4585ca3ec04d7257ca5308d21333bb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 +From: Martin Blumenstingl +Date: Sun, 16 Oct 2016 22:59:05 +0200 +Subject: [PATCH 1/3] Documentation: dt: net: add ath9k wireless device binding + +Add documentation how devicetree can be used to configure ath9k based +devices. + +Signed-off-by: Martin Blumenstingl +Acked-by: Rob Herring +Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo +--- + .../devicetree/bindings/net/wireless/qca,ath9k.txt | 48 ++++++++++++++++++++++ + 1 file changed, 48 insertions(+) + create mode 100644 Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/wireless/qca,ath9k.txt + +--- /dev/null ++++ b/Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/wireless/qca,ath9k.txt +@@ -0,0 +1,48 @@ ++* Qualcomm Atheros ath9k wireless devices ++ ++This node provides properties for configuring the ath9k wireless device.
