* x86: switch image generation to new codePaul Spooren2020-03-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit introduces few related changes which need to be done in single commit to keep images buildable between git revisions. In result it retains all previous image creation possibilities with slight name change of generated images. Brief summary of the commit: * Split up image generation recipe to smaller chunks to make it more generic and reusable. * Make iso images x86 specific and drop their definition as root filesystem. * Convert image creation process to generic code specified in image.mk. * Make geode subtarget inherit features from the main target instead of redefining them. * For subtargets create device definitions with basic packages set. * treewide: remove maintainer variable from targetsPetr Štetiar2020-03-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is no such role as target maintainer anymore, one should always send corresponding changes for the review and anyone from the commiters is allowed to merge them or eventually use the hand break and NACK them. Lets make it clear, that it is solely a community doing the maintenance tasks. * x86: preserve partition table on sysupgradeJo-Philipp Wich2016-02-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | With this patch sysupgrade will write directly to the partitions instead of to the main disk. The UUID is copied from the image to the MBR as well. This prevents the mbr from being completely overwritten and losing the partition table. The -p option has been added to maintain the original behavior and overwite the entire disk with the new image. Tests have been added to ensure that the image partitions match up with the active partitions. Signed-off-by: Rob Mosher <nyt-openwrt@countercultured.net> SVN-Revision: 48682
