* kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.132John Audia2022-07-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | All patches automatically rebased. The following patch was replaced by a similar version upstream: bcm27xx/patches-5.10/950-0036-tty-amba-pl011-Add-un-throttle-support.patch Signed-off-by: John Audia <therealgraysky@proton.me> (cherry picked from commit 7d3c0928de191b203dd5b27ddf208698d08639e3)
* generic: enable CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_X86|_ARM]Tomasz Maciej Nowak2022-06-271-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This is now built-in, enable so it won't propagate on target configs. Link: https://lkml.org/lkml/2022/1/3/168 Fixes: 79e7a2552e89 ("kernel: bump 5.15 to 5.15.44") Fixes: 0ca93670693b ("kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.119") Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com> (Link to Kernel's commit taht made it built-in, CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_ARM|_X86] as it's selectable, 5.10 backport) Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com> (cherry picked from commit 539e60539a2fde6531bd179c94bb9c7f8f490f2b)
* kernel: delete Linux 5.4 config and patchesDaniel Golle2022-03-213-599/+0
| | | | | | | | | As the upcoming release will be based on Linux 5.10 only, remove all kernel configuration as well as patches for Linux 5.4. There were no targets still actively using Linux 5.4. * kernel: 5.10: consolidate mac80211 crypto optionsSergey Ryazanov2021-12-171-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Each of - CRYPTO_AEAD2 - CRYPTO_AEAD - CRYPTO_GF128MUL - CRYPTO_GHASH - CRYPTO_HASH2 - CRYPTO_HASH - CRYPTO_MANAGER2 - CRYPTO_MANAGER - CRYPTO_NULL2 either directly required for mac80211 crypto support, or directly selected by such options. Support for the mac80211 crypto was enabled in the generic config since c7182123b9 ("kernel: make cryptoapi support needed by mac80211 built-in"). So move the above options from the target configs to the generic config to make it clear why do we need them. CC: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name> Signed-off-by: Sergey Ryazanov <ryazanov.s.a@gmail.com>
* kernel: filter out both Clang and LLD versionsSergey Ryazanov2021-12-171-1/+0
| | | | | | | | Both CLANG_VERSION and LLD_VERISON are autogenerated runtime configuration options, so add them to the kernel configuration filter and remove from generic and per-target configs to keep configs clean. Signed-off-by: Sergey Ryazanov <ryazanov.s.a@gmail.com>
* tegra: switch to kernel 5.10Adrian Schmutzler2021-10-181-2/+1
| | | | | | | | This target has testing support for kernel 5.10 for four months now. Time to switch the default. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de> Acked-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com>
* kernel: Set CONFIG_RCU_CPU_STALL_TIMEOUT=21Hauke Mehrtens2021-09-092-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | The default value for CONFIG_RCU_CPU_STALL_TIMEOUT was changed from 60 seconds to 21 seconds in 2012 in the upstream kernel. Some targets already use 21 seconds. This patch changes the default value in the generic configuration to 21 seconds and removes the target specific configuration options. * kernel: move two symbols to the generic kconfigsRui Salvaterra2021-08-292-4/+0
| | | | | | | CONFIG_RCU_{NEED_SEGCBLIST,STALL_COMMON} are set basically everywhere. Move them to the generic kconfigs. And resort the generic kconfigs while at it. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* kernel: disable CONFIG_RCU_EXPERT and friendsRui Salvaterra2021-08-292-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on the existing documentation [1][2], I dare anyone to demonstrate that we need to fine-tune these RCU parameters. The (performance) breakage potential for doing so is immense, so let's just please put down this loaded footgun. Disable CONFIG_RCU_EXPERT and its dependent symbols. Additionally, remove the CONFIG_RCU_EXPERT symbol from the target kconfigs which contain it. * kernel: Move CONFIG_USERIO to generic configHauke Mehrtens2021-03-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | The CONFIG_USERIO option is unset in multiple target configurations. On the sunxi target it is activated. Move the kernel configuration option to the generic kernel configuration. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: Deactivate CONFIG_VFIO in generic kernel configHauke Mehrtens2021-03-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | Instead of deactivating this in every target config, deactivate it once in the generic kernel config. I was asked for this config option in a x86 64 build in OpenWrt 21.02. * treewide: drop shebang from non-executable lib filesAdrian Schmutzler2021-01-291-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This drops the shebang from another bunch of files in various /lib folders, as these are sourced and the shebang is useless. Fix execute bit in one case, too. This should cover almost all trivial cases now, i.e. where /lib is actually used for library files. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* treewide: provide global default for SUPPORTED_DEVICESAdrian Schmutzler2021-01-231-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The majority of our targets provide a default value for the variable SUPPORTED_DEVICES, which is used in images to check against the compatible on a running device: SUPPORTED_DEVICES := $(subst _,$(comma),$(1)) At the moment, this is implemented in the Device/Default block of the individual targets or even subtargets. However, since we standardized device names and compatible in the recent past, almost all targets are following the same scheme now: device/image name: vendor_model compatible: vendor,model The equal redundant definitions are a symptom of this process. Consequently, this patch moves the definition to image.mk making it a global default. For the few targets not using the scheme above, SUPPORTED_DEVICES will be defined to a different value in Device/Default anyway, overwriting the default. In other words: This change is supposed to be cosmetic. This can be used as a global measure to get the current compatible with: $(firstword $(SUPPORTED_DEVICES)) (Though this is not precisely an achievement of this commit.) * tegra: image: remove unnecessary assumptions from bootscriptTomasz Maciej Nowak2020-12-222-4/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | 'bootz' expects gziped kernel image anyway, so hard-code it to zImage, and remove root path from 'load' commands, by default the files are searched in root directory. This will make the bootscript static, so the command which modified it when image was created can now be removed. Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com>
* tegra: image: make bootscript standaloneTomasz Maciej Nowak2020-12-222-5/+4
| | | | | | | Don't hard-code the PTUUID, use U-Boot commands to determine it, as some partitioning tools could rewrite PTUUID when modifying partitions. Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com>
* tegra: sysupgrade: remove check for number of argumentsTomasz Maciej Nowak2020-12-221-2/+0
| | | | | | | | This chunk got mistakenly removed from 30c95c4, since the get_image_dd evaluates only first agument, so that check is useless. Fixes: 30c95c4 ("tegra: sysupgrade: use get_image_dd wrapper") Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com>
* tegra: sysupgrade: write additional information to log outputTomasz Maciej Nowak2020-12-011-4/+3
| | | | | | | | This will explain what is actually occuring on dd invocations. Additionally remove comments for steps which are described by printed statements anyway. Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com>

* kernel: remove support for kernel 4.19Adrian Schmutzler2020-10-303-676/+0
| | | | | | | We use 5.4 on all targets by default, and 4.19 has never been released in a stable version. There is no reason to keep it. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* treewide: enable the vDSORui Salvaterra2020-10-132-2/+0
| | | | | | | The vDSO is used to accelerate some syscalls. It should work fine wherever it's available, so enable it globally for all targets. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>

* kernel: move F2FS_FS_XATTR and F2FS_STAT_FS symbols to genericDaniel Golle2020-10-092-3/+0
| | | | | | | | Similar to how it was already done for other filesystems' *_FS_XATTR kernel config symbols, also move CONFIG_F2FS_FS_XATTR=y and CONFIG_F2FS_STAT_FS=y to target/linux/generic. Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org>
* kernel: clean up XATTR config symbolsPaul Spooren2020-10-091-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Extended attributes are required for overlayfs and have hence been long ago enabled for jffs2, but should be enabled unconditionally for all other filesystems which may potentially serve as overlayfs' upper directory. Previously it was inconsistently added in multiple targets. Add symbols to generic kernel config and remove all *_XATTR symbols from target configs. * treewide: use wpad-basic-wolfssl as defaultPetr Štetiar2020-08-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to support SAE/WPA3-Personal in default images. Replace almost all occurencies of wpad-basic and wpad-mini with wpad-basic-wolfssl for consistency. Keep out ar71xx from the list as it won't be in the next release and would only make backports harder. * tegra: correct cpu subtypeTomasz Maciej Nowak2020-03-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Tegra 2 processors have only 16 double-precision registers. The change introduced by 8dcc1087602e ("toolchain: ARM: Fix toolchain compilation for gcc 8.x") switched accidentally the toolchain for tegra target to cpu type with 32 double-precision registers. This stems from gcc defaults which assume "vfpv3-d32" if only "vfpv3" as mfpu is specified. That change resulted in unusable image, in which kernel will kill userspace as soon as it causing "Illegal instruction". Ref: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/gcc-was-broken-on-mvebu-armada-370-device-after-commit-on-2019-03-25/43272 Fixes: 8dcc1087602e ("toolchain: ARM: Fix toolchain compilation for gcc 8.x") Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tomek_n@o2.pl>

* treewide: remove maintainer variable from targetsPetr Štetiar2020-03-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is no such role as target maintainer anymore, one should always send corresponding changes for the review and anyone from the commiters is allowed to merge them or eventually use the hand break and NACK them. Lets make it clear, that it is solely a community doing the maintenance tasks. * tegra: Remove kernel 4.14 supportHauke Mehrtens2020-03-123-681/+0
| | | | | | | | | This target was switched to kernel 4.19 more than 6 months ago in commit f342ffd300da ("treewide: kernel: bump some targets to 4.19") and now with kernel 5.4 support being added it gets harder to support kernel 4.14 in addition to kernel 4.19 and 5.4. * x86,tegra,mvebu: image: use common reproducible IMG_PART_SIGNATUREPaul Spooren2019-11-111-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | These targets are currently using more or less same SIGNATURE variable which provides unique partition ID/signature, so it makes sense to refactor it out into common IMG_PART_SIGNATURE variable which could be reused by all targets. This is another step in the direction of reproducible OpenWrt images. Signed-off-by: Paul Spooren <mail@aparcar.org> [split into separate commit, renamed to IMG_PART_SIGNATURE] Signed-off-by: Petr Štetiar <ynezz@true.cz>
* treewide: use new procd sysupgrade $UPGRADE_BACKUP variableRafał Miłecki2019-09-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | It's a variable set by procd that should replace hardcoded /tmp/sysupgrade.tgz. This change requires the most recent procd with the commit 0f3c136 ("sysupgrade: set UPGRADE_BACKUP env variable"). Signed-off-by: Rafał Miłecki <rafal@milecki.pl>
* treewide: when copying a backup file always specify dest nameRafał Miłecki2019-09-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | $CONF_TAR shouldn't be assumed to always point to the sysupgrade.tgz. This change makes code more generic and allows refactoring $CONF_TAR. Signed-off-by: Rafał Miłecki <rafal@milecki.pl>
* treewide: don't hardcode "sysupgrade.tgz" file nameRafał Miłecki2019-09-051-2/+2
