* ppc44x: Remove unmaintained targetHauke Mehrtens2019-05-038-481/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This target only supports kernel 3.18, which is not supported in OpenWrt any more for multiple releases. It also looks like there is no active maintainer for this target. Remove the code and all the packages which are only used by this target. To add this target to OpenWrt again port it to a recent and supported kernel version. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: only optimized for size if small_flashMathias Kresin2018-07-122-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a new config option to allow to select the default compile optimization level for the kernel. Select the optimization for size by default if the small_flash feature is set. Otherwise "Optimize for performance" is set. Add the small_flash feature flag to all (sub)targets which had the optimization for size in their default kernel config. Remove CC_OPTIMIZE_FOR_* symbols from all kernel configs to apply the new setting. Exceptions to the above are: - lantiq, where the optimization for size is only required for the xway_legacy subtarget but was set for the whole target - mediatek, ramips/mt7620 & ramips/mt76x8 where boards should have plenty of space and an optimization for size doesn't make much sense - rb532, which has 128MByte flash Signed-off-by: Mathias Kresin <dev@kresin.me>
* ppc44x: mark as brokenFelix Fietkau2017-01-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | This target has consistently failed builds for a long time and it does not look like it has any users left, nor any maintainers. Signed-off-by: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name>
* powerpc: boot: fix build with parallel makeJo-Philipp Wich2017-01-041-0/+45
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The powerpc boot wrapper Makefile is not parallel build safe, causing fixdep to fail reading dependency files of the addnote, hack-coff and mktree utilities when concurrently building different image targets. A typical failure looks like: Building modules, stage 2. * ppc44x: fix build of crypto4xx_core.cHauke Mehrtens2016-12-251-0/+46
| | | | | | | | crypto4xx_probe() is in the __init section and referenced by code form other sections, which causes a build error. Backport a patch from mainline kernel to fix this. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>

* ppc4xx: remove booke-wdt watchdog packageChristian Lamparter2016-07-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This patch gets rid of the booke watchdog kmod package. Instead the affected boards will enable it in their kernel configs. Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com>

* image: fix jffs2(_nand) image generationJonas Gorski2015-08-051-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Variables dependend on JFFS2_BLOCKSIZE and NANDBLOCK_SIZE are used for template generation, so need to be present before inclusion of image.mk in target image Makefiles. So move all declarations to before any includes. Fixes: r42878 ("image.mk: clean up and parallelize mkfs calls") Signed-off-by: Jonas Gorski <jogo@openwrt.org> SVN-Revision: 46564

* targets: prepare for supporting normal and initramfs imagesFlorian Fainelli2013-06-272-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | In order to support both normal images and initramfs, ensure that each target sets KERNELNAME properly so that the generic kernel building code can copy the corresponding files over $(KDIR) with the appropriate extension.
