* ath79: switch to 5.15 as default kernelNick Hainke2022-09-241-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The 5.15 kernel has new interesting features like MGLRU. Most of the targets already have added support for testing kernel 5.15 since April 2022. Set 5.15 as default for all subtargets. Testing support was added here: - ae6bfb7d67c1 ("ath79: tiny: add 5.15 support for tiny subtarget") - 9a0155bc4fa3 ("ath79: add 5.15 support for generic subtarget") - 5af9aafabbc0 ("ath79: mikrotik: add 5.15 support for mikrotik subtarget") - f3fa68e5153b ("ath79: nand: add 5.15 support for nand subtarget") Tested on: - Nanostation M5 XM (tiny) - TP-Link EAP-225 Outdoor (generic) - TP-Link CPE210 (generic) Signed-off-by: Nick Hainke <vincent@systemli.org>
* ath79: move 5.15 testing kernel to common MakefileNick Hainke2022-09-061-0/+1
| | | | | | | All subtargets are using now 5.15 as testing kernel. Move KERNEL_TESTING_PATCHVER:=5.15 to the common Makefile. Signed-off-by: Nick Hainke <vincent@systemli.org>
* ath79: switch to Kernel 5.10Paul Spooren2021-12-211-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Kernel 5.10 is used by many people since quite a while. With other targets already moved to 5.10, let ath79 follow suit. * ath79: consolidate testing kernelAdrian Schmutzler2021-04-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | All subtargets have the same testing kernel set, so move it to the target definition. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* ath79: add kernel 5.10 supportDavid Bauer2021-02-201-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds Kernel 5.10 support for the generic, nand and tiny subtargets. The following patch is not contained, as it needs to be reworked: platform/920-mikrotik-rb4xx.patch Tested-on: - Siemens WS-AP3610 - Enterasys WS-AP3710 - Aerohive HiveAP 121 - TP-Link TL-WA901 v2 - TP-Link TL-WR741 v1 Signed-off-by: David Bauer <mail@david-bauer.net>
* ath79: move the squashfs feature to the parent targetRui Salvaterra2020-11-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | All subtargets define it. Move it to the parent target and remove it from all subtargets. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>

* ath79: remove DTS from ATH79 target namePaul Spooren2020-09-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | The legacy ar71xx target is removed and multiple targets use DTS now, so there is no need to point that out for ATH79 specifically. Signed-off-by: Paul Spooren <mail@aparcar.org>
* ath79: switch to kernel 5.4David Bauer2020-07-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | As the reported major bugs are ironed out, switch to the new kernel to begin testing with a broader audience. Signed-off-by: David Bauer <mail@david-bauer.net> Acked-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* ath79: add mikrotik subtargetRoger Pueyo Centelles2020-03-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit creates the ath79/mikrotik subtarget in order to support MikroTik devices based on Qualcomm Atheros MIPS SoCs. MikroTik devices need a couple of specific features: the split MiNOR firmware MTD format, which is not used by other devices, and the 4k sector erase size on SPI NOR storage, which can not be added to the ath79/generic and ath79/nand subtargets now. Additionally, the commit moves the two MikroTik devices already in the generic and nand subtargets to this new one. Tested on the RB922 board and the wAP AC router. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Lets bump kernel to 4.19 on targets which were run tested or got ACKed so we've enough time to make it ready for next release: armvirt/32 (runtested in qemu) armvirt/64 (runtested in qemu) ath79/generic (runtested on Carambola2) gemini/generic (runtested on DIR-685, DNS-313, SQ201, SL93512R) imx6/generic (runtested on Apalis) ipq40xx/generic (runtested on nbg6617) malta/be64 (runtested in qemu) malta/be (runtested in qemu) malta/le (runtested in qemu) malta/le64 (runtested in qemu) mpc85xx/generic (runtested on TL-WDR4900) mpc85xx/p2020 (runtested on P2020RDB) mvebu/cortexa53 mvebu/cortexa72 mvebu/cortexa10 octeon/generic (runtested on EdgeRouter Lite) sunxi/cortexa53 (build tested only) sunxi/cortexa7 (runtested on Lime2-K) sunxi/cortexa8 (build tested only) tegra/generic x86/64 (runtested in qemu) Acked-by: Zoltan HERPAI <wigyori@uid0.hu> [sunxi] Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> [gemini] Tested-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tomek_n@o2.pl> [mvebu, tegra] Tested-by: Daniel Engberg <daniel.engberg.lists@pyret.net> [octeon] Tested-by: Pawel Dembicki <paweldembicki@gmail.com> [mpc85xx/generic mpc85xx/p2020] Signed-off-by: Stijn Tintel <stijn@linux-ipv6.be> Signed-off-by: Petr Štetiar <ynezz@true.cz>

* ath79: Remove source-only flagRobert Marko2018-11-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | Remove the source-only flag from ath79, its supposed to replace ar71xx after next stable release but buildbots are not currently generating images for it. So in order to expand testing as much as possible and prepare for moving to ath79 lets enable the buildbots to actually build the target. Signed-off-by: Robert Marko <robimarko@gmail.com>

* ath79: add new OF only target for QCA MIPS siliconJohn Crispin2018-05-071-0/+19
This target aims to replace ar71xx mid-term. The big part that is still missing is making the MMIO/AHB wifi work using OF. NAND and mikrotik subtargets will follow. Signed-off-by: John Crispin <john@phrozen.org>
