* generic: enable CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_X86|_ARM]Tomasz Maciej Nowak2022-06-271-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This is now built-in, enable so it won't propagate on target configs. Link: https://lkml.org/lkml/2022/1/3/168 Fixes: 79e7a2552e89 ("kernel: bump 5.15 to 5.15.44") Fixes: 0ca93670693b ("kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.119") Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com> (Link to Kernel's commit taht made it built-in, CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_ARM|_X86] as it's selectable, 5.10 backport) Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com> (cherry picked from commit 539e60539a2fde6531bd179c94bb9c7f8f490f2b)
* kernel: delete Linux 5.4 config and patchesDaniel Golle2022-03-212-298/+0
| | | | | | | | | As the upcoming release will be based on Linux 5.10 only, remove all kernel configuration as well as patches for Linux 5.4. There were no targets still actively using Linux 5.4. Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org> (cherry picked from commit 3a14580411adfb75f9a44eded9f41245b9e44606)
* kernel: 5.10: remove CONFIG_DEVTMPFS{,_MOUNT} from kconfigsRui Salvaterra2022-03-011-1/+0
| | | | | | They are required for container support, but are handled in Config-kernel.in. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* kernel: 5.10: consolidate mac80211 crypto optionsSergey Ryazanov2021-12-171-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Each of - CRYPTO_AEAD2 - CRYPTO_AEAD - CRYPTO_GF128MUL - CRYPTO_GHASH - CRYPTO_HASH2 - CRYPTO_HASH - CRYPTO_MANAGER2 - CRYPTO_MANAGER - CRYPTO_NULL2 either directly required for mac80211 crypto support, or directly selected by such options. Support for the mac80211 crypto was enabled in the generic config since c7182123b9 ("kernel: make cryptoapi support needed by mac80211 built-in"). So move the above options from the target configs to the generic config to make it clear why do we need them. CC: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name> Signed-off-by: Sergey Ryazanov <ryazanov.s.a@gmail.com>
* archs38: update kernel version to 5.10Evgeniy Didin2021-11-073-3/+289
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Update config, Makefile and image/Makefile. Directly switch to kernel 5.10. This patch was tested in nSIM simulator, no errors appeared. | | | | | | | These options are selectable when some of the kernel debug options like KERNEL_SOFTLOCKUP_DETECTOR are selected. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: move two symbols to the generic kconfigsRui Salvaterra2021-08-291-2/+0
| | | | | | | CONFIG_RCU_{NEED_SEGCBLIST,STALL_COMMON} are set basically everywhere. Move them to the generic kconfigs. And resort the generic kconfigs while at it. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* archs38: Do not activate ext3 driver optionsHauke Mehrtens2021-08-211-3/+0
| | | | | | | | The ext3 driver was already removed, the kernel config options are only there for backwards compatibility. The eth4 driver takes care of ext3 file systems. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* treewide: switch the timer frequency to 100 HzRui Salvaterra2021-04-211-1/+0
| | | | | | | | Some targets select HZ=100, others HZ=250. There's no reason to select a higher timer frequency (and 100 Hz are available in every architecture), so change all targets to 100 Hz. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>

* archs38: Add CONFIG_HZ=100Hauke Mehrtens2021-03-191-0/+1
| | | | | | | This kernel config option was missing and resulted in a question when building. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* treewide: remove execute bit and shebang from board.d filesAdrian Schmutzler2021-03-061-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So far, board.d files were having execute bit set and contained a shebang. However, they are just sourced in board_detect, with an apparantly unnecessary check for execute permission beforehand. Replace this check by one for existance and make the board.d files "normal" files, as would be expected in /etc anyway. Note: This removes an apparantly unused '#!/bin/sh /etc/rc.common' in target/linux/bcm47xx/base-files/etc/board.d/01_network Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>

* treewide: use wpad-basic-wolfssl as defaultPetr Štetiar2020-08-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to support SAE/WPA3-Personal in default images. Replace almost all occurencies of wpad-basic and wpad-mini with wpad-basic-wolfssl for consistency. Keep out ar71xx from the list as it won't be in the next release and would only make backports harder. * archs38: use generic 02_sysinfoAdrian Schmutzler2020-07-223-51/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently archs38 sets a board name from compatible for no apparent reason. Just use the compatible directly instead. This theoretically removes a board name "generic" when no compatible was present, however, there is no case where this "generic" board name was actually used. This also fixes an issue where snps,axs103 would not have been properly detected anyway, as its case was not set up syntactically correct. Fixes: 73015c4cb378 ("linux: add support of Synopsys ARCHS38-based boards") Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* treewide: drop shebang from non-executable target filesAdrian Schmutzler2020-06-161-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This drops the shebang from all target files for /lib and /etc/uci-defaults folders, as these are sourced and the shebang is useless. While at it, fix the executable flag on a few of these files. This does not touch ar71xx, as this target is just used for backporting now and applying cosmetic changes would just complicate things. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* treewide: provide consistent basic DEVICE_TYPEAdrian Schmutzler2020-06-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While the effective "default" based on frequent use is "router", the DEVICE_TYPE variable actually provides a "basic" configuration without selecting any additional packages. This is currently set up with the identifier "bootloader", which seems to be not used at all. However, the only targets not using "router" or "nas" are actually archs38 and arc770, which use their own value "developerboard" for DEVICE_TYPE which seems to have been invented when these targets where added. The latter is not implemented in target.mk, though, and will fall back to the "basic" set of packages then. So, to clean this up and make it more readable, let's just define a DEVICE_TYPE "basic" and use it for the aforementioned cases. * archs38: remove support for kernel 4.14Adrian Schmutzler2020-05-252-239/+0
| | | | | | | | Kernel 5.4 is stable for about two months now and there is only one patch anyway, so this is mostly upstream stuff. Therefore, it does not look like we need to keep old 4.14 around any longer. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>

* treewide: remove maintainer variable from targetsPetr Štetiar2020-03-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is no such role as target maintainer anymore, one should always send corresponding changes for the review and anyone from the commiters is allowed to merge them or eventually use the hand break and NACK them.
