* treewide: add support for "lto" in PKG_BUILD_FLAGSAndre Heider2023-03-211-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reduces open coding and allows to easily add a knob to enable it treewide, where chosen packages can still opt-out via "no-lto". Some packages used LTO, but not the linker plugin. This unifies 'em all to attempt to produce better code. Quoting man gcc(1): "This improves the quality of optimization by exposing more code to the link-time optimizer." | | | | | | | | | | | The soversion of the shipped libjansson.so library didn't change, so the ABI version change is unwarranted and leads to opkg file clashes. Also stop shipping an unversioned library symlink while we're at it as it only needed at compile/link time and leading to file level clashes between packages on future ABI bumps.
