As a result of this, combined with the nature of the mtdsplit driver, the upgrade procedure ends in a bricked device. Use the generic nand_do_upgrade provided by the OpenWrt common functions. The default mac "00:00:00:00:00:00", which should match all stations, is mistakenly set to the non used variable "isolate". Currently, they are using GZIP compressed kernels, which results in ledd flash being available to the root and overlay filesystems.
